Cookies and browser storage

The public pages set no cookies, and the site uses no advertising or tracking cookies, so no consent banner is shown.

Reviewer sign-in

The reviewers' dashboard sets one cookie, named session, which keeps a reviewer signed in and protects the dashboard's forms. It is strictly necessary for that purpose and ends when the browser closes, or eight hours after signing in.

Your application on this device

While an application is in progress, the browser keeps the address of its private link under the name irb.application, so that the application page can offer to continue it. It stays on the device, is never sent to the Bureau, and is removed when the application is submitted. Clearing the browser's site data removes it at once.

Page counts

The Bureau may count visits to its public pages with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify visitors. It does not run on private case or signing pages.
