Check a record

A certificate can be checked by its number, and a PDF copy by uploading the file, without contacting the parties.

Printed at the top of every page, for example IRB-D-2026-0001.

Confirms the file is an unaltered copy of the issued certificate. The file is compared by its fingerprint and not stored.

What the register shows

For an issued divorce certificate the register shows whether it is valid, the type of dissolution, the civil decree where there was one, the Effective Date, the waiting period, the reviewer who confirmed the facts and the date of issue. For a conversion certificate it shows the date of conversion as the convert declared it, the reviewer and the date of issue. It never shows the names of the parties or the witnesses.
